When we announced our exploratory committee, we had no way to be sure we’d make it this far. We went from a couple of friends in the Midwest united behind progressive ideas to a nationally recognized campaign in a matter of months. Believe me when I say this: none of this would have been possible without the support of people like you.
I've spent the better portion of the last year traveling from state to state talking to Americans about the issues that matter most to them. What I found is that the corruption in Washington takes a toll on the lives of millions of Americans, and that we simply must do better.
It's been my mission since day one to foster change that will make America better for all, and not just for millionaires and billionaires. An America where you have a choice, and an America where you're not burdened or bankrupted by your health or studies.
Since the beginning, our campaign has inspired Americans from all across the country to partake in acts of hope. From donating, to volunteering, to knocking on doors, your compassion has brought us to where we are today, and for that, I must say thank you.
Heading into the final debate I know this: the country is stronger when united in hope rather than divided by fear. The current administration targets the anxieties and vulnerabilities of Americans by fear-mongering and lying. Those are tactics that must be left behind in 2020. The fight is tough, but the persistence of our supporters can propel us across the finish line and into the White House.
