Dear Friend,
New reports are showing a dire truth: Across more than 18 countries in Africa, 52 million people are currently facing crisis levels of hunger due to extreme weather, including drought.
Drought means that farmers and families have a harder time growing or getting food. In parts of Somalia, the harvest is half of what farmers typically see. Livestock is emaciated, and food is getting more expensive - in South Africa, there are reports of farmer suicides.
The climate change crisis means that weather events like drought are becoming more frequent and more extreme. That's why we urgently need your support.
