Jack, I'm going to keep this email short and let Vice President Harris' words speak for themselves:

“There are 11 people right now running for secretary of state, the keepers of the integrity of the voting system of their state, who are election deniers… people question, is America still valuing what they talk about which is integrity of democracy which means protecting the rule of law and sanctity of these systems and speaking up when they are attacked. I am very concerned about it, I'll tell you, I am very concerned about it."

Secretaries of state are our frontline in protecting our democracy and unfortunately, there are too many far-right believers of Trump's Big Lie running for this elected office. Imagine if they seize control of the very infrastructure of democracy they want to undermine. These authoritarian conspiracy theorists could use their post of secretary of state in key states to override the will of the American people and dictate their preferred outcomes.

That's exactly why Daily Kos has endorsed five Democrats running in the most competitive contests for secretary of state this year.

We can protect our democracy by making sure that Trump’s minions stay far away from the office of overseeing our elections. Can you give $1 or more to these five candidates that are fighting to protect our democracy by running for secretary of state?
