I am sending an additional email this summer Friday, because I want you to know directly from me that I will be standing with Elizabeth Warren for President. I believe she has the best ideas, commitment, leadership, and is the best choice to win in 2020.

I am hosting a pre-debate and debate watch party on Tuesday starting at 630 pm at my place. This fall, I will be focused on both doing my job as a County Board member and winning the Virginia Legislature, which is so critical for Arlington. Nonetheless, I am telling you now about my commitment to support Senator Warren because I have thought this through and have come to the conclusion in my heart and head that I am with her. I also want each of you who are in my heart and made my serving possible, to know where I stand.

I met Senator Warren when I advocated for educational equity and accountability for low-income students and students of color at the Education Trust. She is inspiring, has a plan for the challenges we care about, is the right person to defeat Donald Trump, and will deliver the change we so desperately need.

I hope you will join me on Tuesday and, eventually, for Senator Warren next year.
