Tomorrow is Delaware’s Primary Election! Tuesday’s results will finally give us a full Democratic ticket heading into November.
If you have not already voted, the polls will be open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm tomorrow. Find your polling location by visiting ivote.de.gov. Due to the 2020 census and redistricting many polling locations have changed since the last election so it is important to verify before heading out tomorrow.
While there are not local legislative races in every district this year there is a statewide primary for Auditor of Accounts. The State Party was proud to endorse Lydia York in this race. Lydia’s opponent, the incumbent, has been convicted of official misconduct and conflict of interest and is currently awaiting sentencing. Lydia’s campaign is a chance to get the Auditor’s office back on the right track for the first time in a long time.
Primaries are generally low turnout elections, which means every vote will matter and the results could be swung by just a few votes. That is why it is so important that you get out tomorrow and cast your vote for Lydia York.
See you at the polls,
Betsy Maron
Chair, Delaware Democratic Party
P.S. After the polls close tomorrow, join me and the rest of the DelDems team on the Wilmington Riverfront as we await the election results. It's sure to be a great night. Click here to RSVP
