John,
The extreme right wing spent 50 years pushing to end abortion rights. With a majority on the Supreme Court delivering the overturning of Roe v. Wade, they may think their fight is now over. We know it’s not.
That’s why this week, we will be focusing on abortion — from highlighting the candidates who committed to safeguard abortion access to uplifting abortion funds across the country to hearing from you about your own stories.
Since the decision overturning Roe came down in June, thousands of Working Families Party members and candidates have mobilized across the country to fight for our rights.
Some donated to abortion funds, others fundraised for courageous candidates at every level of office who will fight for our bodily autonomy.
Some volunteered at overwhelmed clinics, eager to ease the burden of having to see patients who have traveled thousands of miles to get care.
Some took to the streets (and even made the front page of the New York Times!)
Our work to defend and expand abortion access has only just begun. But with the midterms coming up in just eight short weeks, we need to ramp up our efforts to another level. Make a $5 donation to prove that this fight is not over. Every dollar will help us fund the organizing, advertising, and electoral work to elect pro-choice champions up and down the ballot.

Every step of the way, we have been so inspired by your energy, determination, and vulnerability. Your stories are shaping the way voters engage with this topic — many of whom are understanding differing perspectives on abortion in new ways.
We’ve heard stories of expectant parents who endured challenging pregnancies and had to make impossible decisions; stories from college students who were able to restore opportunities and find joy for their futures; and stories of fear and isolation when patients were made to feel small or worse by loved ones for their decision.
It’s surprising who you can reach with the right personal story. You may have one that can change hearts and minds in the places where abortion rights need more allies. That’s why this week, we are asking you to share your stories about abortion with us, and if you’re comfortable, with WFP supporters nationwide.
Will you share your story with us? Whether it’s about what reproductive freedom has afforded you, how the attack on reproductive rights has impacted your life, how you felt after hearing the Dobbs decision, or even your own abortion story — we would be honored if you shared it with us.

P.S. We know stories like these can be extremely personal. If you do not feel comfortable sharing, that is okay! We support you, no matter what. ❤️
