John, it’s Senator Alex Padilla.

So much is at stake in the coming midterm election, and Californians have a unique opportunity to protect our democracy by unseating extremists like Republican Ken Calvert who tried to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

That’s why I’m endorsing former federal prosecutor and Democrat Will Rollins in California’s 41st District.

I’m backing Will because he has the right experience and would be a significant upgrade to his Trump-endorsed opponent. Will helped prosecute white-collar criminals who defrauded seniors, thieves who targeted disabled victims, and corrupt doctors who perpetrated the opioid crisis.

More recently, he helped prosecute insurrectionists who took part in the deadly attack on our Capitol. He knows firsthand the danger that extremism poses to our democracy and won’t ignore this issue -- he’ll tackle it head-on.

Will’s race represents one of our best shots in the country to flip a GOP-held House seat from red to blue. As Californians, this is precisely where we need to step up and take action:
