It will just take a moment of your time to tell one of these incredible medical team members how much they mean to the people they serve.

International Rescue Committee
John,

It's been over a year since an abrupt political change created chaos in Afghanistan. And just a few months ago, families there were faced with yet another emergency: a deadly earthquake.

But amidst the chaos, there is something people in Afghanistan can count on: The IRC's steadfast support — and that includes our mobile health teams who are on the ground providing urgently needed health care where families are in need.

As a member of the IRC community, we want to invite you to take part in a special opportunity today:

Will you write a note of support to our mobile health teams in Afghanistan? It'll just take a moment, but the impact will last much, much longer.

Your note will reach a team member like Dr. Amna Gul who works with the IRC as a Provincial Health Manager.

In addition to being responsible for community activities such as infection prevention and spreading awareness in villages about preventing communicable diseases, Amna also heads mobile health teams in Khost — including one entirely female-led team. This courageous team traverses muddy paths and rocky terrain to reach some of the most remote communities so that women and girls can get access to the health care they need.

"The proudest point in my job is serving my people — the people of Afghanistan. Especially the women who are not able to go to health care facilities because of transportation, financial conditions, and their Mahram [a male chaperone]."

Every day, all year long, our frontline staff in Afghanistan are working tirelessly to make a lasting impact. Hearing from supporters like you will lift their spirits and let them know they're not alone.

So please, John, take just a moment to send your note of thanks and support today »

Thank you for caring deeply about the people of Afghanistan — and families in crisis around the world. We'll be delivering your kind words to our mobile health teams in Afghanistan in just a few weeks!

Sincerely,

Hank, IRC Communications
