CHEYENNE ? Wyoming game wardens patrolled over half a million miles ? 574,171 to be exact ? in 2021, according to the annual Wyoming Game and Fish Department Law Enforcement Report. The report details key statistics, operations and accomplishments of game wardens, wildlife investigators and other employees dedicated to protecting one of Wyoming?s greatest natural resources ? wildlife.
Game and Fish continues to study the disease?
CHEYENNE ? Hunters are critical to monitoring chronic wasting disease in Wyoming, a fatal disease that affects moose, elk and deer. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is once again asking hunters to provide lymph node samples from their harvested deer and elk this fall to test for CWD. In return for samples, hunters may be eligible to win hunting gear.
