Dear Brothers and Sisters:
As in the past, the “Four-Person Scramble” will raise money for the Texas AFL-CIO Scholarship Fund and the Texas AFL-CIO Membership Education Fund. Contributions to the Membership Education Fund allow us to educate union members across Texas about our labor movement and the key issues we are facing. These are not tax deductible. The Scholarship Fund provides $1,500 grants to students from union families and is a 501(c)(3) organization that can accept contributions that are deductible on federal taxes to the full extent of the law.
You may register a team (or just yourself) to play and sign up for sponsorships using the
brochure linked here, either online or by printing out the document and sending it our way. If you choose, sponsorships can underwrite prizes and other needs of the tournament. For options along those lines and any other questions concerning the tournament, please contact Lee Forbes or Ixtlani Palomo, (512) 477-6195,
[email protected], or
[email protected].
Thank you as always for your support of the golf tournament. We hope to see you there.
In Solidarity,
Richard Levy Leonard Aguilar
President Secretary-Treasurer
