We knew this moment would come — right around Labor Day is when general election campaigns really take off and the big spending starts.

Well, big spending is right: Mitch McConnell’s super PAC just reserved $18.4 million in ad buys across the country, including $2.4 million right here in Wisconsin.

From attacking vulnerable Democratic senators to slowing the momentum of challengers in flippable seats, Mitch McConnell has made it clear he’ll do and spend whatever it takes to win the Senate majority and stop our progress.

He’s running scared because Republican candidates are faltering across the country. With this huge ad spend, Mitch McConnell is hoping to salvage these flailing campaigns.

$18.4 million is not a small number. It’s going to take a lot of work to respond to that kind of spending. But I have confidence in this team — together, if we all do our part and pitch in what we can, we can support the great Democrats running for Senate across the country, including my good friend Mandela Barnes right here in Wisconsin.

That’s why I’m personally asking today:
