Since becoming Arizona’s Democratic nominee for Secretary of State, we’ve had a lot of new folks join our movement, so I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself.
You may know me as the election official who led the charge to prove Arizona’s 2020 elections were safe and secure, the former U.S. Marine Marksmanship Instructor who dismantled the right’s Second Amendment lies, or the candidate running against Oath Keeper and extremist Mark Finchem, but really, my story is simple.
I’m a father, small-business owner, and concerned citizen for our democracy.
I want to share more on why this race and our democracy are so important to me, but first, I have to ask: Will you join me in my fight to become Arizona’s next Secretary of State and protect our democracy by splitting a donation of $10 right now between me and the Arizona Democratic Party?

When I joined the U.S. Marines, I took a sacred vow to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I still hold that oath today in this campaign and the work I do every day.
In 2020, I had the honor to serve as Maricopa County Recorder, running the nation’s 3rd largest voting precinct. As County Recorder, my work and the work of my bipartisan team stood up to one of the most extensive election audits we’ve ever seen. I dedicated myself to counting every single vote, even when the numbers began to show I’d lost my own race.
Team, I have to be honest with you. I’m running for Arizona’s Secretary of State because the November midterms could be our nation’s last truly democratic election. With extremists like Donald Trump, Mark Finchem, and so many more working to dismantle our elections from the inside, we must not relent. Democracy needs us.
