New American Leaders launched in 2010, training more than 1,300 immigrants and people who identify with the immigrant experience to run for office, win, and lead.

Since then, hundreds have gone on to serve as campaign staff and community organizers, and 219 of them have successfully run or have been appointed to serve in office!

People like New York City Councilmembers Alexa Avilés, Shahana Hanif, Crystal Hudson, and Shekar Krishnan; New York State Assemblymember Jessica González-Rojas; and Michigan State Representative Ranjeev Puri—who all took our Ready to Win training in 2019—are using what they’ve learned from our trainings to get elected and change the face of leadership.
