And in November, thousands of people across Western North Carolina will call me their Congresswoman.

From fighting for marriage equality to running for County Commissioner as an out person in the South, I’ve proven skeptics wrong who said that someone like me just could not get elected. We’ve done it by organizing everywhere, building grassroots movements, and focusing on the politics of the possible.

And that’s exactly how I’ve been running this campaign – showing up to connect directly with voters and listen in every corner of the district. It means being honest and upfront about my positions on key issues facing our district, something my opponent refuses to do.

Absentee voting has already started here in NC and we’re just 57 days away from polls closing, and I can feel our momentum growing every day. It’s more critical than ever that we have the resources to keep pushing and take the lead – and that means hitting our goals for our FEC deadline at the end of the month.
