Dear MoveOn member,
This year, Texas Republicans made performing an abortion a felony
punishable with life imprisonment.^1
Republicans in Congress—hoping to seize the majority in this November's
elections—have a national abortion ban on their agenda.^2
And Justice Clarence Thomas has tipped his hand, making clear that the
illegitimate, Trump-packed Supreme Court will go after contraception,
marriage equality, and same-sex relationships next.^3
It's never been more clear that our freedoms to love whom we love, to form
families when and how it makes sense for us, and to make our own health
care decisions are on the ballot this November. And there's good news: A
growing backlash against these MAGA Republican attacks is leading to more
Democratic voters to recognize the stakes of this election and more new
voters who are registering in key states.
Now, our job is to connect with these voters—the very folks who can swing
critical elections that will determine control of the Senate and House of
Representatives—and ensure they turn out.
[ [link removed] ]MoveOn is hosting high-impact virtual phone banks running each week,
where MoveOn members across the country can make calls from home to voters
who share our values and who—if they turn out—can win this election, elect
Democratic majorities, and protect our freedoms. Will you sign up to make
calls Tuesday or Thursday at 6:00 p.m. ET?
MoveOn staff and volunteers will make sure you feel fully equipped to make
these calls with confidence. And our top-notch data and targeting tools
ensure you're spending time making calls that could have the highest
impact on November's races.
The truth is that it's time for progressives and Democrats to go on the
offensive. Just weeks ago, voters defeated an anti-abortion referendum in
Kansas by a large margin. In special elections, the districts that Trump
won handily are becoming close races. In a bellwether contest in New York—
in a district that has swung back and forth over recent cycles—the
Democrat won by campaigning to protect access to abortion.^4
And Republicans are running scared—with some of their leading Senate
contenders removing their anti-abortion stances from their website out of
fear of voter backlash.^5
We don't need to be scared. We don't have to be on defense. We are a
majority that believes in abortion access—and freedom to marry whom you
wish, form families how you want, and make your own health care choices
without right-wing government interference.
When we show up, we win!

13 at 6:00 p.m. ET or to sign up for dates any week between now and
Election Day.
Democrats in the House have already passed measures to codify Roe into law
and preserve marriage equality. If Democrats can hold the House and expand
their Senate majority with two bold champions, they can end the Republican
abuse of the filibuster and pass these measures into law. And now that
MAGA Republicans have made clear the America they intend to create, voters
are ready to defeat them and elect folks who will protect the freedoms we
hold dear.
The key is simply getting voters to the polls. The right-wing state
legislatures have put up plenty of obstacles. The media is echoing
cynicism. That's why person-to-person contact to connect with folks, talk
about what's at stake, help them make a plan to vote, and follow up before
Election Day is so critical.
[ [link removed] ]You can help win this election by motivating and mobilizing fellow
voters. Sign up now to join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 to 8:30
p.m. ET any week between now and Election Day.
Thanks for all you do.

Want to support MoveOn's work? Donald Trump's preparations for being able
to steal the presidency in 2024 are well underway and include working to
replace top election officials in battleground states with his own
loyalists. Which is why MoveOn is doing something we've never done in our
23-year history: We're launching a powerful, multimillion-dollar effort to
defeat Trump-backed secretaries of state across the country and elect
individuals who will count every vote and ensure fair elections.
