Friends – before Congress reconvenes this week, I wanted to get one last long walk in before traveling back to Washington.
You may not know this, but my political career started right here. In 2002, I was appointed as a commissioner of the Greenwich Housing Authority, where I worked to expand affordable housing and support low-income families. It was a fulfilling job that prepared me well for Congress.
Ever since I began serving our community, whether I’m taking a quick stroll on the shores of Jennings Beach or eating at a local restaurant on Bedford Street, I’ve always felt the warmth and spirit of this place.
I’ll be honest: I love my work in Washington, and representing my community in Congress is the honor of a lifetime. Frankly, I’ll take Connecticut over DC any day of the week!
So as I prepare to head back to Washington, I wanted to walk around and see exactly what I’m fighting for in Congress: Connecticut’s small businesses, Connecticut’s public schools, and Connecticut’s amazing residents.
I’m so proud to stand up for this remarkable, diverse district in Congress. If you’re able, will you chip in to help me continue advocating for the residents and businesses of CT-04 in Washington?
