Senate Banking Committee Ranking Member Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, and other Democratic members of the committee have requested an update on efforts to reform the government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs) and remove them from conservatorship.
Crapo seeks input on marijuana banking legislation [ [link removed] ]
Following House passage earlier this year of a bill that would provide a safe harbor for credit unions and other lenders that serve marijuana-related businesses (MRBs) in states that have legalized the drug, Senate Banking Committee Chairman Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, is seeking "public feedback on ways to address public health and money laundering concerns with cannabis banking."

The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) is hosting its semiannual webcast today to provide private companies and not-for-profit organizations with an update on its standard-setting activities. Of note on the agenda is an update on implementation efforts for its current expected credit loss (CECL) standard.
