New Season Of EXPOSED Begins Today

• EXPOSED is an ongoing podcast series, broken into individual seasons that focus on particular topics and issues. Our previous seasons were among the top-performing podcasts in the United States.

The Chinese Infiltration of Texas

• We have all, very rightly, been fixated on the crisis of an invasion at our southern border. Unfortunately, that horrible spectacle has in part distracted us from the insidious infiltration occurring under our noses for the last two decades by our nation’s most fierce adversary: the Chinese Communist Party.

      

• For months, the Texas Scorecard investigative team has been researching what were previously just whispers and rumors that the Communist Chinese government has been worming its way into Texas. Make no mistake: This is an infiltration, not an invasion. In some cases, the CCP openly admit to their actions while hiding their intentions. In others, we have found, the Communist Chinese government has carefully constructed a facade of organizations and entities to hide themselves from discovery.

This Season’s Episodes

• Episode 1: Land (available now) 
  It started as whispers and rumors that frontmen for the Chinese Communist Party were buying large swaths of land in Texas. It turns out these purchases, and subsequent use, threaten military security and weaken food production capabilities. This episode explores the dangers posed by the CCP tying up Texas land.
     
• Episode 2: Education (available now)

  With unabashed transparency, organizations directly tied to the Chinese Communist Party have entered into financial relationships with the state’s flagship universities… and K-12 schools. The CCP has been given wide latitude to set curriculum, and even dictate hiring, while those same schools and institutions oppose involvement and oversight from parents and state lawmakers. This episode explores the tangled academic web that has the CCP at the center.

      
• Episode 3: Politics (available 9/13)
  Federal, state, and local politicians have been eager to open the door for "investment" by the Chinese Communist Party in Texas. This episode names names and exposes the bipartisan effort to make it easier for the CCP to operate unrestricted in the Lone Star State.
     
• Episode 4: Commerce (available 9/14)
  Facing economic troubles at home, and fearing the collapse of their own economy, the CCP has engaged in what one expert calls "debt diplomacy" – getting public and private sector actors indebted to China. This episode explores how the CCP regularly flaunts the law while playing fast and loose with the truth in their financial dealings.
         
• Episode 5: What Texans Can Do About It (available 9/15)

  The only way to stop this infiltration of Texas by the Chinese Communist Party is through greater transparency and the enforcement of laws protecting state and federal infrastructure. But, will lawmakers finally heed the warnings from Chinese refugees, foreign relations experts, and businessmen?
