[1]Mandela Barnes for Wisconsin

Team, this isn't the news we wanted to share this weekend. But here it goes:

FiveThirtyEight just released their latest 2022 election forecast showing that Ron Johnson is favored to win Wisconsin's Senate election.

Defeating an incumbent senator who is propped up by special-interest donors and dark-money groups was never going to be easy. So today we are looking for a very large number of donations to show that Mandela has the grassroots momentum and the resources to win this race.

That's why we're asking:

Can you please chip in to stand with Mandela Barnes right now? We'll put your contribution immediately to work to flip Wisconsin's Senate seat.

FiveThirtyEight's election forecast model depends on a variety of data including polling, fundraising, past voting patterns, and ratings from election experts.

While a recent Marquette Law School poll shows Mandela leading Ron Johnson, the truth is that Ron Johnson is way ahead on fundraising as of the last FEC fundraising report. And outside spenders are flooding Wisconsin with horrible negative attack ads against Mandela.

So Mandela really needs your help to be able to respond and get his message out to voters. Especially right now. Because it is going to take a LOT of grassroots donations in order to win this race.

Please add your contribution today and together we're going to defeat Ron Johnson, elect Mandela to the Senate, and expand the Democratic Senate majority.

Thank you for being a part of this campaign. As long as people like you are involved, we are going to send Ron Johnson packing.

- Team Mandela
