|
|
WHO: Gov. Jim Justice, Chancellor of the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission and Chancellor of the Community and Technical College System Dr. Sarah Armstrong Tucker, other officials.
WHAT: Gov. Justice will hold an event to unveil new mobile ambulance simulators that are being dispatched across the state to provide training opportunities for West Virginians interested in becoming Emergency Medical Services (EMS) professionals.
This is part of Gov. Justice’s EMS WV: Answer the Call initiative, which is funding strategies that are bolstering the state’s EMS workforce and equipping communities to better care for West Virginia citizens now and into the future.
Five mobile ambulance simulators, purchased with CARES Act funding, will give community and technical colleges and select training facilities the opportunity to take EMS education outside the classroom and expand training into rural and remote areas of West Virginia.
WHEN: Monday, September 12, 2022, at 12:45 p.m.
WHERE: Outside the West Wing entrance to the West Virginia State Capitol, directly across from the Governor's Mansion.
