Dear MoveOn member,
Take a moment to remember how you felt the moment news broke that six
unelected extremist justices on the Supreme Court had ripped away our
rights to access abortion and control our bodily autonomy.
Remember the glee that spread through Republican political circles and the
speed with which the GOP moved to enact forced-birth laws in state after
state across the country.
They celebrated. They thought they had won.
In 57 days, we have our chance to show them that they're wrong.
We must turn the midterm elections into a referendum on abortion and the
dangerous, deadly authoritarianism of the Republican Party. That's why
MoveOn has just printed a big batch of these "Vote like it's 1973"
stickers and is giving them away for free while supplies last.

Conventional wisdom says that the party that holds the presidency will
lose in their first midterm election—but conventional wisdom didn't
consider what would happen when Republicans started ripping away our
constitutional rights and freedoms.
First, voters in deep-red Kansas turned out in numbers not seen since the
2008 presidential election to defeat the GOP's attempt to remove abortion
rights from the state's constitution by 18 points last month.
Then, Alaska elected Democrat Mary Peltola to fill the state's
congressional seat, making her the first Democrat to represent Alaska in
the House in 49 years.
The New York Times is calling these results "a fierce abortion
backlash."^1
Now, with less than two months to go before Election Day, we need to keep
up the grassroots momentum.
And that's where you come in.

supplies last? You can display it proudly—on your car, laptop, water
bottle, or anywhere else—to show your support for abortion rights and to
remind voters to elect Democrats who will fight to restore our right to
bodily autonomy this November.
Thanks for all you do.

replace top election officials in battleground states with his own
loyalists. Which is why MoveOn is doing something we've never done in our
23-year history: We're launching a powerful, multimillion-dollar effort to
defeat Trump-backed secretaries of state across the country and elect
individuals who will count every vote and ensure fair elections.

elections in 2022?
