JOhn,
Today, we reflect upon twenty-one years since the deadliest terror attack ever carried out on U.S. soil. We memorialize the victims of September 11, 2001, and commemorate those ordinary citizens and first responders who showed the utmost bravery under pressure and saved countless lives.
To all in my district who lost someone that day or were affected by the aftermath, my heart goes out to you. I will continue to advocate for policies that will properly honor the victims and aid the survivors — including the proper funding and application of the September 11 Victim Compensation Fund, which pays out claims for those impacted by deaths, injuries, and other lasting impacts from this horrible attack.
I often think back to the unity of purpose that Americans felt so many years ago following this tragic day. Today, as our country once again faces monumental and existential challenges, it is my hope that we are able to recognize once again the value of loving and helping one another, for it is this very spirit that helps make America strong.
Sincerely,
Jennifer
