Today is a day of somber and resolute remembrance across America.



On this day 21 years ago, our Nation was forever changed in an instant. These
heinous acts of terrorism took the lives of 2,977 Americans and fundamentally
shook our Country to its core.



The cowards that attacked America on that day attempted to strike at the heart
of freedom. But, we never let their fear control us: Americans from all walks
of life came together in the face of adversity to confront evil.



Since that day, our Country has changed forever - moms & dads missing from the
dinner table, aunts & uncles missing from family parties, sons & daughters gone
too soon.



The men and women who died on this day will never be forgotten and their
memories will live on forever. And it’s up to all of us to preserve and steward
their legacy.



Since that fateful day 21 years ago, we have come together as a Country and
have fought to defend freedom from those that wish to destroy it. Whether it be
on foreign soil or here at home, Americans always stand together when our
Country is threatened.



Today we remember and pray for the American lives lost on 9/11, and we pray
for their families and loved ones. Our Country mourns with them, not just
today, but everyday.
