Patriot, With Election Day less than two months away, this is usually the time politicians in Washington, D.C. go back to their home districts and spend all their time campaigning . . . and normally we are happy they aren’t in Washington, inflicting more damage on us. But even now, Congress is continuing to hold meetings and votes. They’re absolutely desperate to pass as much liberty-destroying legislation as they can, while Democrats still control both chambers of Congress and the White House. By our count, there are at least five major priorities the statists in Washington want to get done as quickly as possible: • Joe Biden’s “assault weapons ban” that would outlaw the most popular rifles in America; • A “continuing resolution” budget bill to fund the government, but filled with all kinds of Green New Deal goodies and other waste rolled into it; • A “Central Bank Digital Currency” (CBDC), which Joe Biden ordered the Federal Reserve to hurry to development; • More expansions of the federal police state. Already, they’ve funded 87,000 new IRS agents and put Obama-era radicals back in charge at the IRS. Now they want to pass Patriot Act 2.0 to expand their surveillance of everything you do; • The National Defense Authorization Act, which is always a vehicle for statist policies that have nothing to do with national defense. Previous NDAAs have included everything from surveillance and indefinite detention of Americans to abortion policies. It’s a lot to take on, and especially in this election season, when everyone is focused on our state elections and not watching Washington. We want to know: What are your top legislative priorities right now? Campaign for Liberty has taken on many legislative battles over the years. Right now, our economic and personal liberties are under greater threat than ever before. But you and I can only take on so many fights. I want to know: What are your highest priorities for restoring freedom this year? C4L SUPPORTER SURVEY
>> Over the next couple weeks, we need to decide which legislative battles are most urgent and where we need to mobilize our resources. We want YOUR feedback to inform these decisions. Should we keep up our efforts to prevent a Central Bank Digital Currency, and to instead Audit the Fed? Should we sound the alarm on all the big-government schemes that will be loaded into the next budget bill? Considering Joe Biden’s rhetoric last week when he clearly called half the country “enemies” of the state, should we focus on stopping Patriot Act 2.0, which would bring the full power of the surveillance state down on Americans who dare to object to Biden’s authoritarian ways? Or, should we keep up the pressure on the Senate to prevent Joe Biden’s sweeping Assault Weapons Ban? Is there another issue we should be directing our attention to? You can inform us in the survey.
