John — Today marks 21 years since 9/11/2001, the deadliest terrorist attack in our country’s history with nearly 3,000 Americans killed.
We honor and remember the lives that were cut short by an act of hatred, the brave first-responders who risked their lives trying to save others, and friends and families who lost someone they loved.
Now, 21 years later, there is reason to be hopeful: Americans, despite immense pain and destruction, all came together, and put their differences aside.
Today, as we’re facing new challenges and troubles, I am reminded that we can forge ahead together to become a more progressive and united country.
Never forget.
