Remembering 9/11
Friend,
Twenty one years ago today, our nation came under attack. Today, we remember the 2,977 American lives we lost. As we honor their memory we also reflect on the heroism exhibited by our first responders.
Planes hit the North and South towers of the World Trade Center, the Pentagon in Washington, DC, and crashed into a field in Pennsylvania that day. I recall exactly where I was that day, as you likely do also.
Selflessly, first responders rushed to the scene, fighting to save innocent Americans' lives. It is in the most challenging of times, that we often see what makes our country so great. People stepping up to help others in our community. Many risking their health and safety to help strangers. Twenty one years later, we continue to see heroism from our nation's first responders who are always ready to answer the call, no matter what that call may be.
Today, I hope we can all come together and remember the lives lost, and the heroism and bravery shown on this day. We are blessed to live in the greatest country in the world.
On Wisconsin,
Bryan Steil
Member of Congress
