Elise Stands With Farmers Against Hochul’s Farm Laborers Wage Board’s Disastrous Overtime Decision

Despite outcries from Upstate New York and North Country farmers, this week Kathy Hochul’s Farm Laborers Wage Board decided to move forward with their reckless decision to lower the overtime threshold for farmers from 60 down to 40 hours. Elise continued to stand up for our farmers and released the following statement:

“Kathy Hochul’s Farm Laborers Wage Board failed to support our hardworking farmers. Instead, these Democrats in Albany are doubling down on their reckless overtime decision, jeopardizing New York’s agriculture industry, putting thousands of farm laborers out of work, and making New York less competitive by forcing our workers to seek labor opportunities in neighboring states, all while in the midst of a labor shortage. They are unmistakably out-of-touch with Upstate New York and the North Country. Make no mistake, I will continue to challenge this wrongful decision and stand up for our farms because Upstate New York understands: No farms, no food.”

REAL RESULTS: Elise Delivers Crucial Funding to NY-21 Fire Departments
On Tuesday, Elise announced that following her advocacy, eleven fire departments in New York’s 21st District will be receiving over $750,000 in grants from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Elise stated:

“I am proud to deliver critical funds to ensure our fire departments in New York’s 21st District are equipped to protect themselves and our communities. Our brave first responders make countless sacrifices and answer the call to serve day or night to keep our communities safe, and these funds play an important role to ensure they can continue this important work. I will continue to advocate for the resources our first responders need to keep the North Country safe.”

Elise Closes Out Fair Season with Stops in Fonda and Schaghticoke
Over Labor Day weekend, Elise helped close out NY-21’s county fair season strong! Elise took part in the Great Schaghticoke Fair - the 3rd oldest fair in New York State - as well as Montgomery County’s Fonda Fair, where she participated in the ninth annual Convoy for a Cause. MAJOR ENDORSEMENT: National Border Patrol Council Endorses Elise

On Thursday, Brandon Judd, President of the National Border Patrol Council, announced the National Border Patrol Council’s endorsement of Elise, calling Elise a ‘true border security champion’ and saying her Far-Left Democrat would be “a rubber stamp for Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi’s radical policies.” Judd said in part:

“Congresswoman Stefanik has been a true border security champion for Upstate New York and the North Country. As Co-Chair of the Northern Border Caucus, she has a proven record of protecting all those in her district by working legislatively and behind the scenes to keep illegal drugs and dangerous criminals from flooding her community. Her work has undoubtedly saved lives. She has strong working relationships with all law enforcement in her district as evidenced by the number of events and discussions she’s had with them….


Elise’s opponent is the exact opposite. Far-left Democrat Matt Castelli, a former Obama White House Staffer who worked under Susan Rice, has made clear that he would be a rubber stamp for Joe Biden’s and Nancy Pelosi's radical policies that have created the worst border crisis in our nation's history and allowed dangerous criminals and deadly illegal drugs to flow into our communities.


November’s election in NY-21 is a matter of safety and security for you and your family. With Elise’s strong record of supporting the goals of the National Border Patrol Council and standing up for our officers, Congresswoman Stefanik must be victorious again to protect American lives.”

Local Police Back Elise: Elise Earns Backing of The New York State Law Enforcement Officers Union, Council 82
This week, Elise also received an endorsement from New York State Law Enforcement Officers Union, Council 82. Council 82 represents 16 local NY-21 departments and about 1,000 members! Ronald Walsh, President of the New York State Law Enforcement Officers Union, Council 82 stated in part:

“Not only has Elise been a strong voice for the 21st District’s law enforcement, correction officers, veterans, and military families, Elise has never backed down from taking on the dangerous policies that have affected our entire state. Meanwhile, Elise’s opponent Matt Castelli supports so-called bail reform policy has put criminals back on our streets. Castelli’s refusal to reject reckless policies that hurt public safety proves that he would be just another rubber stamp on the radical Defund the Police agenda. We know that Elise will continue her track record of defending law enforcement officers, and we look forward to continuing to work with her after her re-election in November.”

Elise Sends Off Veterans At North Country Honor Flight

Last weekend, Elise spoke at the annual North Country Honor Flight in Plattsburgh which honors local veterans who made tremendous sacrifices for our freedom. Elise said:

“I was honored to join our North Country veterans as they departed for their Honor Flight from Plattsburgh today…New York’s 21st District has a strong legacy as home to many veterans, and these Honor Flights are just a small token of our gratitude for all who have served our country. It is a privilege to take part in this incredibly important way that our community honors and thanks our heroes as they visit the memorials and monuments dedicated to their service and sacrifice.”







REAL RESULTS: Elise Secures Federal Funding for Dolgeville
On Thursday, Elise announced that she secured over $1.9 million for the Village of Dolgeville by way of FEMA. This key funding will help restore flood damaged properties after a series of storms in October 2019, that were designated a major disaster by the Trump Administration following Elise’s advocacy.
