Today, we remember the lives tragically lost in the horrific attacks on September 11, 2001.
The pain of this day is as fresh as it was twenty-one years ago.
This is a difficult day for our country.
Yet, we must never forget the courageous heroes all across our country who immediately rose to the occasion.
Those who rushed into the Pentagon and World Trade Center to save lives, staying days and weeks afterward to continue to help.
And those who answered the call to protect freedom at all costs here at home and abroad.
We will never take the heroic sacrifices of our first responders and our dedicated military men and women for granted.
