Tonight, members of the House of Representatives voted to impeach the president. The articles of impeachment -- which lay out the president’s misconduct stemming from his now infamous July phone call with the president of Ukraine -- passed with near-unanimous support from Democrats and noticeably zero Republican votes. This is huge!

A Senate trial is the next phase in this constitutional process and is set to begin in early January. However, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his Republican colleagues have already admitted that they are closely coordinating their every move with the White House. It is clear they will not uphold their constitutional duty.
