An ICE whistleblower recently shed light on the ongoing medical negligence within the agency’s “detention centers”, including in Arizona.

A leaked memo details how ICE failed to provide proper care for 3 people in serious need at the Eloy prison in our district.

Two people who faced serious mental health issues were either given medicine that made their symptoms worse or were ignored until they had to be hospitalized. One person died due to misdiagnosis and lack of care.

ICE is everything our country shouldn’t be.

These cases make me sick to my stomach. And if it took a whistleblower to reveal this, imagine the untold suffering hidden away by those in power. Every human deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.

Jail cells and walls only work to divide our humanity. History has proven that.

Our government has long funded organizations like ICE, which exist only to inflict pain on others. Even worse, politicians we are supposed to trust allow this to continue.

Just yesterday, my opponent voted YES on a bill that will provide more funding to Trump’s detention and deportation machine and does nothing in response to the inhumane conditions in detention facilities along the border.

We need to Abolish ICE because it is our moral duty to do so.
