I got to celebrate Labor Day with communities across the First District last weekend. At Deal Island’s parade and festivities, over and over along the parade route we heard, “Thank you for running,” “I’m excited to meet you,” “We appreciate you showing up,” and even “Kick his ass!”

And at a farmers market in Bel Air, I greeted one enthusiastic supporter after another, including some new Republican Farmers for Mizeur. After one woman asked to be in a photo with me and offered her support, her daughter leaned in to whisper with a grin, “She voted for Trump twice.”

We are showing up all across the District and meeting people of all stripes, with one thing in common: they are ready to come together and put partisanship aside. I love spending time on the road, listening deeply, and delivering solutions to the most pressing issues facing the First District.

That’s who I’ve always been, and that’s the kind of Congresswoman I’ll be. I show up. I listen. I deliver results.

Our campaign is working hard to meet voters and talk about our concrete plans to deliver for our communities, but that work doesn’t come cheap.
