The January 6 committee will begin the final round of hearings this fall. In the battle to save our democracy from those who want to destroy it, there is nothing more important than the American people seeing with their own eyes the evidence that Trump and several other Republican leaders orchestrated and attempted a coup in order to stay in power.
Americans deserve the full truth. That is why we are calling for these hearings to be broadcast in prime-time. These hearings are Must See TV that shouldn’t be buried during day time broadcast.

Jack, the January 6 committee is gearing up for the final round of public hearings this fall. They will once again tell the truth of what happened, exposing Donald Trump and anyone else who planned, promoted or participated in the attempted coup against our nation.

At least 20 million people watched the first prime-time hearing of the House Select Committee’s investigation into the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. The final hearing was watched by nearly 18 million people.
Viewership for those hearings rivaled that of Sunday Night Football and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. As a result, millions of Americans saw with their own eyes the damning evidence that Trump and his MAGA co-conspirators orchestrated and attempted a coup in order to stay in power.
Six of the hearings, however, were not broadcast during prime-time. Unsurprisingly, they only received around half of viewership of the other two hearings. That means millions of Americans missed important bombshells like which Republican members of Congress requested pardons for their roles during the attack, Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony that Donald Trump knew the MAGA mob was violent and didn't care, and more.

Major networks rightfully covered the January 6 assault on our democracy because they knew that the public had a right to witness the day’s horrific events with our own eyes. Now, as we attempt to hold insurrectionists accountable, and purge them from every level of government, we need networks to once again choose the public interest and broadcast the next round of hearings when the highest number of Americans are likely to watch it.
Make no mistake, our freedom is on the line. Every single state has to contend with Big Lie candidates, and determine whether we'll allow more traitors and extremists to hold public office. A strong democracy needs an informed public. And especially today – when our political climate is marked by disinformation and distractions – the only way to cut through the noise is with the absolute, unvarnished truth.
