JOhn, yesterday I voted for a bill that will nationally codify marriage equality.

The House has done its part, and now the Senate must act to ensure that same-sex couples have the same rights as everyone else.

Tell the Senate today: Pass legislation to protect marriage equality.

When Roe v. Wade was overturned last month, we knew that this was just the beginning of the GOP’s campaign to roll back basic human rights. Across the country, radical Republicans are doing everything they can to fight social progress.

In his concurring opinion on the case that overturned Roe, Justice Clarence Thomas made very clear what the far right hopes to do: he suggested that the Supreme Court “should reconsider” its decisions to guarantee the rights to contraception, same-sex relationships, and same-sex marriage.

No loving couple should be denied the dignity and legal protections that everyone else has. It's sickening that Republicans want to take us back to a not-so-long-ago time when this was possible, and I pledge to fight them at every turn.

Right now, we must act fast and use every available measure to protect people's rights. The Senate has a duty to act, and I need your help to put the pressure on.
