Just this week, CNN released their updated Senate race rankings, and their analysts say North Carolina is one of the three “seats most likely to flip” to Democrats. Here’s why according to their analysts:

Talking about Cheri, they said, “the first Black woman to serve as chief justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court may be able to juice turnout among communities that don't always vote, especially in midterms.”

They also called out that Ted Budd is out of step with North Carolina voters and “further to the right than its current GOP senators.” CNN’s analysts noted that he just voted against legislation to codify same-sex and interracial marriage and wants to ban all abortions without any exceptions. And let’s not forget he voted to overturn the 2020 election just hours after the January 6 insurrection.

But we cannot take anything for granted:

Bottom line: This race is one of Democrats' three best chances to flip a Senate seat and expand our majority.

But with every public poll showing Cheri in a dead heat with our opponent, we have to make sure she has the resources to win.
