The House just passed the Articles of Impeachment against Donald Trump.

While impeachment is not an outcome any of us wanted, it is necessary to preserve our Constitution.

Ultimately, we’re here today because we came up short in 2016 and the consequences have been severe. We have a president who is accused of conspiring and colluding with hostile foreign powers and who has continued to abuse the Office of the Presidency for his own personal financial and electoral gain.

Democrats came up short in rural parts of Wisconsin, but as we saw in 2018, when we communicate about the issues that matter most, we can win. And we must continue those gains in 2020.

Jack, we can and must do better in 2020, and we have to put in the work today to flip this seat and Wisconsin blue next year. We’ve got to leave it all on the field and make sure we don’t come up short again.
