The Republican nominee for Governor of Illinois called Chicago a ‘Hellhole.’
I am disappointed that someone who aspires to be our state's governor doesn’t educate themselves about the progress we’ve made around public safety or the incredible economic prowess of Chicago and what we’ve accomplished in the last two years.
How can you ask the people of Illinois for their vote when you blatantly disrespect the economic engine of this state?
Here are the facts, Mr. Bailey: 50-60% of the economy of Illinois comes from Chicago. And if you include all of Chicagoland, it’s 80%. And no one who lies with such reckless abandon should get anywhere near the Governor’s office.
