But Joe Lombardo doesn’t understand that. He wants to restrict birth control and supports a ban on abortion.

In Nevada, we’ve made sure the government stays out of the personal decision of if, when, and how to start a family - just as it should be. As long as I am governor, Nevada will continue to champion reproductive freedom and protect your right to make your own health care decisions.

Defending the right to an abortion depends on the results of this race. Can I count on you to pitch in a few bucks to my re-election campaign so together, we can defend the right to choose?

Since I’ve taken office, I’ve been unwavering in my commitment to protecting the right to abortion, and we’ve made progress expanding access to reproductive freedom and critical contraceptives.

I signed legislation breaking down barriers to reproductive care and strengthening Nevada's reproductive freedoms. Now, women can receive birth control directly through their neighborhood pharmacy. Survivors of sexual assault can access emergency contraception.

And when Roe v. Wade was overturned, I signed an executive order ensuring safe and equitable access to necessary medical care, including abortion, for Nevadans and anyone seeking refuge from restrictive laws in their state.

But my opponent, Joe Lombardo, is endorsed by an extreme anti-abortion group and has already promised to limit reproductive rights.

The difference couldn’t be more clear.

Governors like me are the last line of defense for protecting abortion access.
