When Mandela first launched his campaign for U.S. Senate, we weren't quite sure what to expect.

But shortly after his announcement, lots of people answered Mandela's call for building a historic grassroots coalition in order to flip Wisconsin's Senate seat from red to blue.

First, it was Priscilla from Milwaukee with an $18 contribution. Then it was Nathan from Appleton who contributed $50. Next came a $3 contribution from Elizabeth in Wausau...and after that, we were off to the races.

Mandela has come a very long way on this campaign, and a recent poll shows that he's leading Ron Johnson. But the truth is that flipping this seat won't be easy, and our fundraising is a bit behind where we need it to be at this point in the month.

We're up against significant amounts of outside spending and we need to match their efforts with our own. The stakes of this race have never been higher, which is why we're asking you directly:
