Truth: Trump’s letter to Nancy Pelosi was the writing of a deranged madman with barely a grip on reality. Far from “utterly destroy[ing]” Democrats and impeachment, the letter reveals how unaccustomed Trump is to being held accountable — and just how angry it makes him. It’s a six-page manifesto of paranoia and half-baked conspiracy theories that lays bare how mentally unfit Trump is for office.
Lie #2: Impeachment is happening because Democrats “hate...this president, the Constitution, our American way of life, and the American people. It is now clear that ours is a historic president whose greatest offense is that he is simply unprecedented, and he is unbeatable at the polls.” — Lou Dobbs, Fox News host
Truth: Impeachment is happening because Trump held up Ukraine aid — financed by U.S. taxpayers — because he wanted Ukrainians to investigate his political opponent, thereby harming our country’s interest in helping Ukraine stop Russia, to advance his own political agenda. Democrats do not “hate” our Constitution; in fact, they’re upholding their oaths to the Constitution by holding our lawless president accountable. And impeachment is certainly not an attack on “our American way of life and the American people” — a coequal branch of government holding another branch of government accountable is American in every sense of the word.
As the third impeachment vote in our country’s history concludes, Fox News is going into overdrive to mislead the American people.
The only way to rise above the lies and control the narrative is to grow our operation.
