This year marks the ten-year anniversary of SBA?s State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) funding, which continues to support export growth and international expansion among small businesses. To date, the program has awarded $215.5 million in grants that directly support small businesses going global. Earlier this week, SBA?announced $20 million in awarded grants resulting in funding for 52 state and territory international trade agencies across the country ? the highest number of grantees since the program?s inception.

Get Inspired: Small Business Success Story
For decades, SCORE has provided business education and mentorship to millions of entrepreneurs across America. One example is Lyndsey Brantley, owner of Camellia Alise in Houston, Texas. With help from her local SCORE chapter, Brantley was able to launch the business six years ago. Tribal Consultations on 8(a) Business Development Program Regulations
SBA will hold a series of tribal consultation meetings and listening sessions in September and October to seek input on proposed revisions to 8(a) Business Development Program regulations. SBA is requesting comments on how best to propose policies that would impact Alaska Native Corporations, tribes, Native Hawaiian Organizations, and 8(a) participants owned by these entities.
