John, right now, families are spending a lot of time thinking about prices. Gas, groceries, keeping the lights on – the price of just about everything keeps on rising.

But my opponent, Eric Schmitt, doesn't care about rising prices. The only price on his mind is how much the next lobbyist will give him to vote their way – regardless of what it costs his constituents. 

You see, Eric Schmitt's vote has always been for sale. He's taken more than $10,000 in gifts from lobbyists and campaign contributions from special interests – and they got what they paid for.

They bought his vote to protect Big Pharma profit margins. They bought his lawsuit to let health insurance companies charge Missouri women and seniors more for health care. And they bought his votes to sell Missouri farmland to a Chinese company. For just a few expensive dinners, an exclusive golf trip, a couple tickets to the big game, or even a Christmas ham, Eric Schmitt has sold out Missouri families time and time again.

And now, he's running for Senate because he knows that he can charge even more for his vote in Washington. For him, this is all about power and the money that comes with it. Missourians deserve better than that.

That's why I'm in this race. As a nurse and a children's advocate, I've spent my life serving my community. I'm running for Senate to continue that commitment to service and make life better for families back home – not make a buck at the expense of my home state. And I've released a plan to end the corruption and greed that's doing so much damage in Washington.

You have my word on this: I will be no one's senator but yours – and my vote will never be for sale. 

But just like Eric Schmitt's vote, winning this race comes at a price. I'll only defeat Schmitt and his far-right megadonors if grassroots supporters like you stand with my campaign.
