John,
With just 61 days to go until the November election, it’s time to get out the vote!
As you may know, no Republican decided to jump in against me in the race for Iowa’s House District 1. While this is a big relief for me personally, it doesn’t mean I can sit this election out. In fact, it just gives me more time to help others. And we have some Democrats who really need our support right now.
So, here’s a short list of things my campaign is doing to help get out the vote for Iowa Democrats:
Starting at the top of the ticket, we’re raising money and getting the word out about Deidre DeJear’s campaign to oust anti-education Governor Kim Reynolds.
We’ve partnered up with Attorney General Tom Miller’s campaign to make sure he can defeat Steve King’s former chief of staff Brenna Bird.
We’re raising awareness for candidates in critical down ballot races such as county supervisor seats and state legislative races.
We’re working to make sure State Senator Jackie Smith and Rep. Steve Hansen are both reelected in Western Iowa.
And we’re recruiting volunteers to help state legislative races that are often overlooked and underfunded.
Make no mistake: I’ll be knocking on doors, making phone calls, co-hosting events and doing whatever I can to help Iowa Democrats win.
As we continue ramping up our campaign to win seats up and down the ballot, we need your grassroots support. Will you chip in $20.22 (or whatever you can afford) to help us get out the vote this election?
If we all come together to help each other, we can flip Iowa from red to blue.
Let’s do this!
Standing Tall for All,
J.D. Scholten
