We're Going Digital
We're Going Digital

Intercity Transit has transitioned away from printed transit guides in favor of an improved, interactive online trip planning system for our riders. In anticipation of this change, we?ve made the website more user friendly by improving the interface and making it easier to get the information you need to get where you need to go. The shift to digital schedules allows us to respond quickly to changing circumstances and provides riders like you with up-to-the-minute information. In years past, we printed thousands of transit guides, giving the transition to digital the added benefit of reducing waste and saving resources. Resources we can use to continue to improve your experience.

Don?t worry! If you prefer a printed copy of your route, printable maps and schedules can be accessed from the routes page on our website.

*How to Access Printable Schedules:*

* From the routes page (intercitytransit.com/plan-your-trip/routes [ [link removed] ]), select the route you want to print a schedule and map for and click on the ?View Route? button.
* Click on the ?Printable Schedule and Map? link on the route page. This will download a PDF of the most current schedule and map for your route.
* Click on the printer icon at the top of your screen to print your schedule or map.

*No printer? No problem!*

You can request printed schedules via our?online order form at intercitytransit.com/order-schedules [ [link removed] ], by contacting Customer Service at 360-786-1881, or stop by Customer Service at the Olympia Transit Center.

Traffic Garden at McKenny Elementary

McKenny Traffic Garden

Intercity Transit's Walk N Roll youth education program is excited to announce a new traffic garden at McKenny Elementary School! The traffic garden was installed by the Child Care Action Council?s Safe Kids Thurston County program, with help from several partners including Intercity Transit, Target Zero, the Olympia Police Department and the Olympia School District, and funding from State Farm.

A traffic garden is a safe and fun place for youth to learn and practice bicycle and pedestrian safety skills in an environment away from vehicles. The miniature streetscape includes intersections, stop signs, crosswalks, and roundabouts. The traffic garden is located on McKenny Elementary School?s playground at 3250 Morse-Merryman Rd SE in Olympia and is open to the community during non-school hours.

While visiting the traffic garden help youth learn and stay safe by encouraging them to follow these rules:

* Practice using the traffic garden as a pedestrian, on your bike or on a scooter.
* Always wear a properly fitted helmet if cycling or scooting.
Ride in a straight line, single file, in the same direction as traffic.
* Obey all traffic signs and signals.
* Stop and check left-right-left for others before entering or crossing a street.
* Practice using hand signals when turning right, left, and stopping.
