Welcome back to the Republican Rundown--your weekly email highlighting the important work that the Republican Party of Virginia is doing to ensure we elect Republicans across the Commonwealth.

The RPV had the honor of attending Derby Day at Colonial Downs in New Kent. It was great to be surrounded by so many members of the general assembly and state leadership, as well as business leaders throughout the community. A special thank you to Senators Ryan McDougle and Tommy Norment for sponsoring the festivities, and for their continued leadership in our Senate.

Last night, we went out to Powhatan County, where we were greeted with enthusiasm from their local GOP committee, as they have been working hard to ensure Congressman Bob Good gets reelected. Thank you to Powhatan Chairman Steve Jenkins for his leadership of our great Powhatan unit.

The RPV is actively recruiting motivated younger Republicans who are looking to get involved in campaigns. On Thursday evening, our team joined John Reid, Host of The John Reid Show on WRVA, at the College Republican's Meeting at The College of William & Mary. Many students were interested in John's career as a conservative news reporter and radio host and have plans to help with local elections on the Peninsula.
