John,
As primary season draws to a close, WFP candidates have held ground and made incredible progress in some of the most important races in the country.
Consider Mandela Barnes’ primary victory in Wisconsin. If successful, Mandela will replace Senator Ron Johnson and become the 51st vote in the Senate to abolish the filibuster — paving the way for the passage of necessary legislation, including codifying abortion rights into law.
And look at the eight new WFP champions who have already won hotly contested primaries in Congressional races this year, from Texas to Oregon to Pennsylvania, Illinois and more.
Nationwide, Working Families Party members are fighting to elect working class champions to expand our majorities and represent all of us in Congress — and winning. But with every step forward, we draw even more attention from right-wing Super PACs, who are about to funnel even bigger swathes of cash from the ultra-wealthy as we approach November.
With just two months until Election Day, we need to redouble our efforts to make sure all our champions are elected in November.
What we do now makes a huge difference in November, in the priorities and power of the 118th Congress, and in the future of this country. And weekly contributions allow us to budget out how the next nine weeks will go — meaning we can focus less time on fundraising, and more time on organizing.
Your weekly contribution will help ensure that WFP candidates like Mandela Barnes have the resources they need to take on conservative Super PACs and win. Will you become a weekly donor from now until Election Day?
