Dear Friend,
I’m a disabled person who very much wants to use my gifts in the world again. Sadly, things like a lack of affordable housing stand in the way of my being able to muster adequate energy to pull myself back into a productive life.
I first met Lorena online. We have a mutual friend who’s a highly respected activist. Lorena asked if she could meet with me in order to understand what things were important to me as a disabled person. I found her interest and her depth of presence to be quite remarkable. She has spent her entire career listening deeply to what people need, then helping to create solutions to everyday problems. She organized a team to help me move my household, and showed up herself to help carry heavy things. She even organized a fabulous wheelchair-pushing team so that I could roll with her in the Pride 5K this year, an amazing experience for me! Although I don’t have much discretionary income, I’m supporting her campaign monthly. I’m all in with Lorena!!
