REMINDER: Governor Walz Has Delivered for Working Minnesotans
Under Governor Tim Walz’s leadership, Minnesota is now one of America’s top states for business, has the lowest unemployment rate of any state ever, the fifth highest rate of job growth in the country, and one of the highest labor participation rates in the nation.
Together with Minnesota’s workers and labor unions, Governor Walz and Lieutenant Governor Flanagan will continue to move Minnesota forward by delivering for Minnesota’s workers and their families and by expanding opportunities for every Minnesotan.

Keith Ellison Labor Day Picnic
The Governor and the Lt. Governor honored Carla Kjellberg’s life and work at Attorney General Ellison’s annual picnic celebrating labor. We were proud to stand with our union partners.
Cloquet Labor Day Parade
The Governor kicked off his Labor Day celebrations in Cloquet with all our statewide candidates, marching in the city's annual Labor Day parade.
Virginia Iron Range Labor Assembly Picnic
The Governor traveled to Virginia to celebrate the great work the Iron Range Assembly workers do. He spoke to the union members with great support from strong labor candidates Rep. Rob Ecklund and Grant Hauschild.
Duluth AFL-CIO Labor Day Picnic
The Governor ended Labor Day by celebrating workers with the Northeast Area Labor Council and Duluth-area DFL candidates at their annual picnic.
Rochester SEIU Picnic
The Lt. Governor started her Labor Day in Rochester with SEIU union members. She thanked members for all the work that they did during the toughest times of the pandemic.
Austin UFCW 663 Picnic
The Lt. Governor ended her Labor Day celebrations with hundreds of attendees at the UFCW 663 picnic. She enjoyed delicious pork chops and saw a handful of cultural performances.
