Michigan judge rules state's 1931 abortion ban unconstitutional
Team,
On Wednesday, a Michigan state court sided with the people and declared the state's 1931 abortion ban – which would've made life-saving abortion procedures a felony offense – unconstitutional.
Here's the bottom line: Since the Trump-appointed Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, it's time for us to take our outrage to the ballot box this November and say NO to dangerous bans.
Michigan has proposed an amendment that seeks to enshrine abortion access and basic health care into its constitution. This way, voters could get the chance to reject efforts to restrict access to life-saving reproductive care.
But team, far-right extremists will stop at nothing to ban abortion nationwide…even in cases of rape, incest, or to save the life of a mother. Extreme politicians have said a national abortion ban is in the works if Democrats lose the House. And right-wing legislators here in Washington State have introduced a ban that would make abortion a felony offense. We can't let that happen.
