The people of Pakistan need our help.

The humanitarian situation in Pakistan is grave and deteriorating rapidly. More families will soon be pushed to the brink of survival and now over 1/3 of the country is underwater from extreme flooding that has already contaminated drinking water with sewage.

The problem is not just among people. Nearly a million cattle, goats, and sheep have died, so far.

These are the main sources of food and income for rural communities, and a major source of dairy for children. As flooding worsens and disease spreads, more animals will die and so will the residents of these rural communities.

We have an opportunity to be a light in the darkness of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, providing relief to the Christian minority there. Please join me in providing supplies to those in need with your $25, $50, or $100 donation today.

I know what you’re thinking. Why is an Orthodox Jewish man writing from Israel of all places, to ask for your help in a country that doesn’t recognize Israel’s right to exist?

It’s simple. When God commands us to be a blessing to the families of the world, He does not mean only in our own countries or only among our friends.

I have a number of Pakistani Christian friends. They love and support and pray for Israel. Unconditionally. But life is hard for Christians there, living as second-class citizens, often persecuted in the extremist Moslem society.

And their perseverance in this Moslem country has hit a breaking point this week as the floods are causing catastrophic damage. Not only do these Christians face persecution and physical violence due on a daily basis, but their lives are now upended by one of the worst monsoon seasons in recent memory.

The needs are great - food, shelter, hygiene kits, medicine, clothing, and more. We at Genesis 123 are ready to step in and assist these persecuted Pakistani Christians, but we can’t do it without your support of $50, $100, or $250 tax-deductible donation.

The Genesis 123 Foundation is dedicated to building bridges between Jews and Christians and Christians in ways that are new, unique, and meaningful, and I can think of no better way than to help the persecuted Pakistani Christians during this natural disaster.

Providing such aid from Israel will create a possible risk to their safety, so we must act below the radar. We cannot ship food, clothing, tents, and medical supplies directly from Israel, so we will engage other sources to deliver these supplies to these Christians directly in an effort to make the biggest impact possible.

We also can’t go through official Pakistani organizations which prioritize the dominant Moslem society. As you can imagine, this type of effort doesn’t come cheap but I feel compelled to help.

The Christian Bible has a powerful verse in Matthew 25:40 that says,

Our Christian brothers and sisters in Pakistan need our help. Will you prayerfully consider helping us get food and medicine to these persecuted Christians with your $100, $500, or even $1,000 tax-deductible donation today?

We pray that the rains will end, that the flooding will subside, and that those suffering from disease, loss of property, and livelihood will be able to rebound soon.
