The petition is expected to prevail… Friend, I’ve been chomping at the bit to share the news… Fair and Secure Massachusetts, the official ballot committee to repeal driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants here in Massachusetts, submitted more than DOUBLE the number of signatures necessary for our referendum. More than DOUBLE! I can’t say it loud enough - THANK YOU to our volunteer army and folks like you who have been with us since the very beginning. All in, our unstoppable volunteers collected more than 100,000 signatures across the state, and our lead organizers tell me that nearly 80,000 verified signatures were submitted by the Sept. 7 deadline. If we don't stop this bad law, which was passed over Gov. Charlie Baker’s veto in June, it will take effect in July of 2023. Today and over the weekend, the Secretary of State’s office is finalizing the certification process. Given the large number of excess signatures, the petition is expected to prevail!
